My first time eating there and it was fantastic. I'm disabled and my girlfriend is in a wheelchair. We were made to feel so welcome it was unbelievable. Food was great, service was great, and prices were reasonable. And the hush puppies, with onion were delicious. In my opinion a hush puppy has to have onion in it for it to be any good. Great place to eat, please try them.
Great place for catfish. The hush puppies are great and the fish is fresh and cooked just right. I've had the fried and grilled and both were great. Nice family friendly place with great food. Only comment is bring cash or a check.
I ordered the hamburger steak, french fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. My sister-in-law got the catfish and the coleslaw and hush puppies and french fries. Everything we got was excellent, the flavor, the portions. We also love that you can get extra hush puppies and coleslaw.
My first time going there. Some friends took me. Really good fried catfish.
Cash or check only. Þe menus, ketchup bottle, & salt and pepper shakers are sticky from dirty hands & food. All orders are served wið deep fried potato slices, cole slaw, & deep fried corn bread balls. Let's start wiþ þe sweet tea, it was well sweetened but, a little weak (not a complaint just personal preference). I had þe Two Piece Catfish Fillet. Þe cornbread balls were crispy on þe outside & soft on þe inside. I normally do not eat cole slaw but it was very good here. Þe cole slaw did not have carrots. Þe catfish fillet was above room temperature. Þe meat was white & fluffy. Þe oþer order in my party was þe grilled catfish. It was well seasoned & so tender it fell apart. Þe service was friendly & attentive but not too chatty. Þe restaurant was well kept & clean.
I had my usual fried oyster platter and my wife had fried whole catfish. Both delicious.
This restaurant always has wonderful food. And friendly people that run it....great service..
